More About Scott R. Clewis

Inspired to help individuals and organizations succeed, Scott earned a Master’s Degree in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) from University of Pennsylvania (UPENN), the preeminent institution in the world in science-based research and training in psychological resilience, including developing resilience programs for the US ARMY. At UPENN, Scott designed The Physician Mindset, the FIRST proactive science-based resilience training model in the world to help physicians and medical students protect against Second Victim Syndrome (psychological trauma from errors and adverse events), and successfully manage the profound stresses of medical practice. The model is meticulously crafted to improve physician resilience to profound adverse events; mitigate against unhealthy stress and burnout; increase professional satisfaction and career longevity; reduce errors; improve performance and productivity; and improve the overall quality of healthcare.

Building upon his research with medical populations, Scott designed Resilience: The CORE of Success™, a proactive training model tailored to build psychological resilience in high-stress professionals, students, business organizations, and academic institutions. Competent Resilience Training is fundamental for those who wish to adaptively manage the challenges, adversities, and obstacles that frequently stand in the way of success.
